A major component of Mississippi State University’s private support initiative is the Annual Giving Program. This program allows alumni and friends to make annual contributions to areas of their choice at MSU. 

Annual gifts also provide a way for graduates or friends to activate their membership in the MSU Alumni Association. A gift of any amount made through the Office of Annual Giving activates the donor's membership in the Alumni Association for one year and enables alumni to reap the benefits of active membership.
