Donor Recognition Levels
LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP AND OLD MAIN SOCIETY
Donor recognition programs exist at a variety of levels to acknowledge gifts to Mississippi State University. Donors who are recognized within these levels have made significant contributions that will leave a lasting impact on students, faculty, and programs of the land-grant institution.
It is important to understand the impact of giving to MSU because every contribution during a donor's lifetime is significant. And, giving to our institution becomes their legacy as they help MSU educate each rising generation of students and provide immeasurable research and influential service that impacts people across the world.
Our university is truly grateful to those who generously support the mission of providing the highest level of excellence in academic, research, and service endeavors. At MSU, we honor donors for their impact by placing them within special recognition levels that correspond directly with their giving.
Legacy of Leadership and Old Main Society members are based on the donor's cumulative lifetime giving (pledge and outright gifts) to Mississippi State University.
The Old Main Society specifically honors donors who have included Mississippi State in their estate plans or made planned gifts such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trust, or retirement assets like IRAs.
Recognition levels within the Old Main Society align with those of the Legacy of Leadership. Donors who prefer to keep the value of their planned gift confidential are honored at the Old Main Society Member level.
