Today, no major university can achieve excellence without a combination of state and private funds. Mississippi State receives less than one-third of its total budget from state revenues, making private support crucial to our success. Many outright gifts received annually are making a difference for the university's students and programs on an almost daily basis. Other commitments, such as bequests, will continue to assist the university for decades.
